How it started
The modern architecture of their home demanded a sophisticated outdoor space. Still, the yard was a blank canvas with no clear connection to the home's contemporary style. The homeowners dreamed of creating a space that could blend entertainment areas with natural elements while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic.
How it finished
Four Seasons transformed the space into a sophisticated outdoor sanctuary that perfectly complements the home's contemporary architecture. A sculptural dry creek bed crafted with carefully selected granite boulders serves as both a stunning focal point and a practical drainage solution. The design incorporates an intimate sunken fire pit lounge with built-in seating and a decorative water feature wall, creating a modern outdoor room.
Clean concrete stepping stones provide an artistic pathway through the landscape, while thoughtfully selected plantings - including ornamental grasses, blue spruce, and hydrangeas - soften the modern hardscape features. A basketball court and treehouse add family-friendly elements without compromising the sophisticated design, proving that modern aesthetics and functional family spaces can coexist beautifully.
